General Tso's Style Chicken

1 LB boneless chicken breasts

1/4 C. all purpose flour

3.5 TBSP unsalted butter

2 garlic cloves

1.5 TBSP white vinegar (or apple cider)

1 TBSP soy sauce

1/3 C Falling Bark Farm Hickory Syrup

Salt & pepper to taste

Sesame seeds


1. Mince garlic cloves and set aside

2. Cube chicken breast and dust with salt and pepper

3. Coat chicken in flour and shake off excess 

4. Melt 2.5 TBSP of butter in large skillet over high heat and put aside remaining 1 TBSP for later

5. Place chicken in skillet until outside is lightly browned and once browned turn heat down to medium or medium high depending on your stove

6. Make some room in pan and add garlic. Top garlic with remaining TBSP of butter and stir briefly once butter has melted

7. Add vinegar, soy sauce and syrup and mix together and bring sauce to a simmer until slightly thickened

8. Coat chicken in sauce, sprinkle with sesame seeds & serve!
